Icebergs are a common sight where I live during the spring/ early summer months. they are also a great tourist attraction. They often have beautiful sculptural forms and no two are ever alike. Getting close to them may be very dangerous, especially since they are in a perpetual melting process. Over 90% of the iceberg lies beneath. Large pieces often break off, and the iceberg often topples and rolls, resulting in ever-changing forms.

I’ve painted many images of icebergs in the past. This oil painting is my most recent.

This drawing is part of a larger series of drawings.
Of course, this is a “finished” drawing, but many of my drawings are still unfinished.

I’m looking at this as a continuous unending series.
Because of the intuitive nature of these and infinite possibilities therein, I may be creating them all my life.

This is something I really enjoy doing.

The ocean does hold all these meanings, and the beach is the boundary… the cross roads.. the edge..

Its the place where we feel just how insignificant we really are…

… but also our incredible potential…
